Julie must deal with her inheritance, a big middle-class mansion the maintenance of which is a financial bottomless pit. With her, are her retired mother who is about to die, her brother Jimmy who seems to live in another world, her aunt Mireille who claims her share of the inheritance and Franck, her husband, who is willingly left aside. Julie attempts to connect those worlds and slowly drifts towards another dimension.

Not to speak of the Man of the lake. He awaits. His ghost lurks around the family; does he hold the key to escape from this maze? His boat is ready for the crossing. 

Author and director Nasser Djemai composes with Vertigo (Vertiges in french) and Heirs (Héritiers in french), a trilogy of which the first part, Invisibles, will be performed at MC93 Bobigny from 8 to 18 January 2020.

If a name were to be given to this trilogy, it could be the one of decay. Gradual decay by disappointments and humiliations, which are passed on, in small doses, through generations by those who have lived through uprooting and exile in the invisible folds of silences, small nothings and murmurs scarcely audible.
