Every time a child dies, an angel of God descends on the earth, takes the dead child in his arms, opens his wings wide, travels to all the places the child has loved.
"L’Ange"
Inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s Little Mermaid, Emma Dante writes and stages a contemporary tale in which magic takes over. The story takes place on Christmas Eve in an Ice country. While many children are waiting for their presents under the three, a little girl is shivering, outside. She braves the cold and, in her dreams, imagines herself, as a mermaid. Between the reality of life and the power of imagination, which will take over? All bets are off, but truth might find itself in a third way.
Whether young or old, everyone is invited to discover this creation, which will be Sicilian author and stage director Emma Dante’s, first performance at La Colline.
