overview
A hundred years after the famous “What is to be done?” by Lenin, a couple sits in their kitchen and suddenly realises the vacuity of the lifestyles led in the countries of the northern hemisphere at the start of the new century. They decide to make their own choices among History, Art and Thought. Just like Bouvard and Pécuchet (two protagonists in Flaubert’s 1881 novel) who confront the contradictions of neo-liberalism, they put themselves at work (again) and try to find solutions. “What is to be done?”, which represents the political question itself, returns in a comedy in which ordinary people try, in the general confusion, to take their life in hand again
