overview
Written at the end of the 70s, this monumental piece of work tells a story of our time: the failure of utopias in a world compared to a waste land. Just like Merlin, son of the Devil and master of ceremonies, Dorst, playing with time and form, reshapes the myth of the Round Table at human dimension. Heroes make mistakes, doubt, love and betray each other. And when it is time to stop war and go on the quest for the Holy Grail, some of them leave their heroic dreams aside and seize power for money, glamour and women.
