overview
Krystian Lupa and his collective recount two days in the Factory’s every day life, and brings its legendary figures to life again. It is there, in this former factory turned into a loft that the pop Art pioneer ruled over a group of underground artists in New-York in the 60s. The theatrical variation recreates the Factory: a place of life and creation, but also a place of vacuity, of slack periods, between narcissistic crisis and desires to sublimate life. Lupa through Warhol continues his quest for a theatre questioning art, its use, its role, and also life: a bridge built between the utopia of 60s and our present time.
